Happy Holidays From Chicago
The artist Anish Kapoor, known for this piece at Millennium Park in Chicago, also has a great exhibit currently at Guggenheim in NYC. His use and creation of industrial materials is what really draws me to his work. Chicago has been icy and cold. Happy Holidays everyone!!

The Ink Pad
The Ink Pad on 12th St. & 8th Ave is packed full of stamps. I love skulls and crowns, so I walked out with this skull stamp and the crown stamp along with some others.

Dance Girl
I see dance girl on the streets often. One time during fashion week she captured the crowds with her robotic movements and flashy personality. Just recently I caught her on the street in front of New Museum, jerking her body to tunes that I can't hear. Every time I see her I always think of the Warhol quote... "Everyone will be famous for 15 minutes" Damn, I love NY!

The Left Side of the City
Visited some of my favorite stores yesterday while out Holiday shopping. Couldn't help but to pick up something a little yummy for my olfactory at Aedes De Venustas, a Cire Trudon candle. My apartment is full of a wind of freedom coming all at once from the Mascara coast and down from the mountains bringing in its foolish race the green scents of fresh mint, the rashness of fights, the hot and peppered air of ginger and the perfume of tea and tabacco from the Ouled Nail tribe... I'm just saying, that's what the card reads in the candle box!

Drift
Sometimes when I'm at a museum or somewhere I get distracted, zone out, drift. I noticed these two doing the same at the WHITNEY. Leaning lazily-drifting away...

Paper and Such
Kate's Paperie is fantastical...packed with whimsy. The "Picture of Good Health"-clever wrapping paper and the charming little cards. It just makes me want to ditch email and start writing snail mail again!
