Andy Andy Andy
Stephen Shore spent his teen years in the mid-sixties hanging out at Andy Warhol’s studio. His touching and beautiful photographs documenting the Factory scene are filled with glamour-pusses like Edie Sedgwick, Nico, and Ingrid Superstar, as well as Andy himself, looking bemusedly at all that goes on around him. In one startling image, Warhol sits with his back to a woman who is pointing a gun at his head. You almost want to yell, “Watch out, Andy!”
