OK...yeah! I even confess, I fantasize about getting my 1 minute photo session with Scott Schumann! But I've given up. It takes the perfect combination of being at the right place at the right time, the perfect ensemble, the perfect roll of the pant, or shirt sleeve. The perfect worn or not so worn shoe. The perfect belt or bag, and lastly an effortless stance on the street with the amber glow of the sun catching your profile... and cut! Basically the stars have to be flawlessly aligned for that Sartorialist minute! Well, the step by step guide that Refinery 29 posted will help you get one step closer to that "Here I am Scott, I'm ready for my close up" moment.

I've seen Cheong Kwon around town a few times, and have wanted to photograph her, but it never worked out for some reason or another. I love her simple creative style, and she always looks so damn comfortable in it, so I figured she worked in the art industry in some form. Finally I bumped into Cheong walking around in Nolita, I fortunately I had my camera with me. When we spoke...sure enough-I found out she writes art and fashion reviews for a French website. Check it out when you get the chance.

Comfort in The Park, NYC

I noticed the old school overalls, and thought he was a construction worker taking a break, but then I noticed how clean he was, and all of his clothing was perfectly pressed. At that point I knew he was not out to work...he was just in the park relaxing. When he saw me with my camera he turned and looked to give me my shot, which was much appreciated...Thank you kind sir! This may not be a look I would try for myself, but I respect the fact that he is very well groomed and he exudes a comfort within his style.
